Description

Project Management is part of the NPD Delivery Team. This team plays a key role in delivering the business’ ambitious NPD growth plan.

We aim to deliver with pace and energy as part of a progressive team, continually seeking ways in which we can deliver better results. This role requires established strong, proactive project management skills to lead simultaneously a range of different NPD projects across several international markets.

As a Project Manager, you will work in partnership with the rest of Team NPD, Tea Supply Chain and International Marketing teams, using your ability to build relationships, face into challenge, find solutions and influence, to ensure that projects move forward and that others take clear accountability for their responsibilities.

This role will require flexibility in working to accommodate the international nature of our business and to work around different time zones of markets. You will also have a willingness to travel to markets and supply centres. This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work from home and the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver projects on time in full in a way that is positive and progressive.
  • Responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project.
  • Effective and clear communications to all stakeholders in a timely fashion.
  • Work with the Market to plan and define the scope of projects, including the clear responsibilities of stakeholders.
  • Influence, manage, brief and lead people across Team NPD, markets, TSC (including Commodities, Procurement, Data Team, Finance, Regulatory & Supply Centres) and relevant external suppliers (including design agencies, material suppliers, co-packers etc.) to engage in, take accountability and deliver projects.
  • Role model the use of tools, keeping of project statuses and key milestones updated.
  • Continual focus on process improvement opportunities and proactively share learnings on projects.
  • Active participation in x-functional projects where required.
  • Role model of Innovation Behaviours.
  • Driving ownership, accountability, growth and improvement in project delivery.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Track record of leading and delivering multiple projects in parallel, with different timelines and requirements.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Experience in FMCG/consumer goods with commercial experience.
  • Experience in working with both cross functional and virtual teams gaining engagement and alignment to get to a successful positive outcome.
  • Pro-actively managed senior stakeholders.
  • Ideally international project experience.
  • Ideally experience of working with workstream leads.
  • Quick learner; ability to pick things up quickly and move to action.
  • Visible focus on “aim higher” in order to challenge and inspire to get the best output coupled with motivational project leadership,
  • Strong curiosity about our markets, their business and categories.
  • Creative thinker and problem solver.
  • Highly developed influencing skills, adept at managing different cultural styles & influencing at distance.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across different levels of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work under own initiative.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight timescales maintaining strong organisational skills.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and a fluid matrix structure.
  • Faces into challenge and can work with others to find resolution.
