Your new role
We are recruiting an experienced Project Manager to lead a significant asset data and PFI hand back readiness programme across two large secondary schools in the London Borough of Bexley.
Working within an established Facilities Management contract, you will lead the collection, validation and management of asset information and contractual documentation. You will ensure the contract is fully prepared for a compliant and successful hand back at the end of the concession period. This is a highly visible position requiring strong Facilities Management asset knowledge, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to coordinate clients, operational teams, contractors and specialist consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the asset data quality improvement programme across both school sites.
- Develop and maintain the project plan for PFI hand back readiness.
- Coordinate the collection and validation of asset registers, room data sheets, fire strategy information, life cycle records, compliance documentation and contractual records.
- Review and update hand back documentation to ensure it meets contractual and client requirements.
- Establish effective trackers, governance arrangements and reporting processes.
- Coordinate actions arising from audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
- Monitor risks, issues and corrective actions through to completion.
- Act as the central point of contact between the client, operational teams, consultants and other project stakeholders.
- Chair workshops, progress meetings and stakeholder reviews.
- Attend weekly client meetings and provide clear progress updates.
- Produce reports and presentations covering progress, risks, issues and mitigation measures.
- Identify and remove barriers that could affect project delivery.
- Maintain robust document-control and data-governance arrangements.
- Support continuous improvement across asset information management and contract compliance.

What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrable project management experience within Facilities Management, estates, property or a related environment.
- Strong knowledge of asset information, asset registers and data-quality management.
- Experience of PFI hand back planning or working within a PFI contract environment.
- A sound understanding of audit, compliance and contractual documentation.
- Excellent client and stakeholder-management skills.
- The ability to influence decisions and drive progress without direct authority.
- Strong risk, issue and action-management capabilities.
- Excellent written communication, reporting and presentation skills.
- The confidence to lead meetings and manage challenging conversations.
- A disciplined and thorough approach to governance and document control.
- A collaborative working style with a strong focus on practical delivery and continuous improvement.
