Vantage Solutions, part of Mitie Telecoms, is our specialist contract lifting and access business, based in Bury, providing trained and qualified field teams to support the safe delivery, installation and maintenance of mobile telecoms infrastructure.

Vantage plays a key role in supporting telecoms projects from planning through to delivery, including contract lifting, access solutions, special event temporary trailer deployments, transmission works, Notice to Quit activity, trailer maintenance, logistics and stock management. We are now looking for a Project Manager to join the Vantage Solutions team and help drive the successful delivery of customer projects in a fast-moving, safety-critical environment.

We are looking for someone who can successfully execute customer projects, manage projects to budget, both financial and time commitments, integrate with the wider teams and contribute to better ways of working

What are the key duties?

The role of a project manager is to plan and oversee all aspects of a project, and to meet the project's goals on time and within budget. It will require you to organise people, tasks and resources to bring about a successful conclusion.

Key duties and responsibilities include but are not exclusive to:-

  • Leading the planning and implementation of projects
  • Defining a project's scope and goals
  • Planning and scheduling project timelines
  • Coordinating project staff
  • Resource planning and allocation
  • Quality assurance
  • Carrying out risk assessment
  • Managing project administration, including all documentation
  • Meeting budgetary objectives
  • Reporting regularly to senior management
  • Managing client relationships
  • Tracking project performance

What does our ideal candidate look like?

It is essential that the post holder has experience within the Mobile Telecommunications Industry, and the ability to keep oversight of projects, track and manage budgets and costings, whilst leading the team in a positive, solution-based approach.

You will have strong commercial acumen, be a collaborative and pragmatic communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills honed within the industry.

You must be detail-oriented with exceptional organisational skills; must be able to multi-task and prioritise, with the ability to build strong relationships, internally and externally

  • Proven ability to manage medium to large scale projects
  • Strong experience engaging, developing and retaining client relationships
  • Ability to coordinate, self-motivate and support the team, while working closely with other clients and creative teams
