The Opportunity
Salter Grange is working with a well-established main contractor to appoint an experienced Civils Project Manager for a major data centre development in the North East of England. This is a landmark scheme, one of the largest digital infrastructure investments in the region. It offers the chance to lead the civils package on a complex, fast-paced project with a long pipeline of work behind it.
The Role
As Civils Project Manager, you will take ownership of the civil engineering and infrastructure works across the site. Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing the full civils package, including earthworks, groundworks, drainage, foundations, roads, hardstandings and external works, from pre-construction through to handover
- Leading and coordinating site teams, engineers and subcontractors to deliver to programme, budget and quality standards
- Working closely with the wider project leadership team, client representatives, designers and M&E packages to ensure smooth interfaces across a multi-phase build
- Driving a positive health and safety culture and ensuring full compliance with CDM regulations
- Managing programme, cost and commercial performance alongside the commercial team
- Overseeing temporary works, utilities diversions and enabling works coordination
- Reporting progress, risks and opportunities to senior management and the client

About You
- Proven experience as a Civils Project Manager with a large, Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor
- A strong track record of delivering civils packages on large-scale commercial projects, ideally £30m+ in value.
- Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold) and First Aid; CEng/ICE or CIOB membership desirable
- Based within commutable distance of the North East, or willing to relocate
