Project Manager – Utility-Scale Solar
Location: Dundee, Scotland
Contract: Long-term contract
Rate: Up to £450 per day
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a major utility-scale ground-mounted Solar PV project in the Dundee area.
This is a senior delivery role with responsibility across construction, programme, commercial performance, subcontractor management, grid interfaces, commissioning, and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of a large-scale ground-mounted Solar PV project
- Manage project programme, milestones, and overall delivery performance
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders
- Oversee commercial performance, budgets, forecasting, and project risks
- Support subcontractor procurement and package management
- Manage client and stakeholder relationships
- Coordinate HV and grid connection interfaces
- Work closely with DNOs, ICPs, and project partners where required
- Oversee commissioning, handover, and project close-out
- Ensure HSE, quality, and contractual requirements are maintained throughout

Essential Experience
- Strong recent experience delivering utility-scale ground-mounted Solar PV
- Previous experience managing EPC or major renewable construction projects
- Proven end-to-end project delivery experience
- Strong subcontractor and commercial management capability
- Experience across construction, commissioning, and handover
- Good understanding of HV and grid connection activities
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Qualifications / Background
- Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering degree / NVQ Level 7 equivalent
- CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test for Managers & Professionals
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management training advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
Experience working with DNOs and ICPs would be highly advantageous. BESS experience would also be beneficial but is not essential.
Candidates should be able to clearly demonstrate the scale and type of solar projects they have delivered, their direct responsibilities, and their involvement throughout the full project lifecycle.
