Project Manager - Transport For London

Location: London

Hours: 40 hours per week

Kier Places are recruiting now for a Project Manager to join our London team on our Transport For London contracts. You'll ensure our client's needs are met and project delivery is to a high standard, whilst developing and maintaining business relationships, and overseeing several schemes of works. These projects can involve security access systems, M&E installations, building fabric, electrical rewiring, boiler and heating systems, platforms, public areas, refurbishments or fit-outs, energy efficiency and sustainability technology, decarbonisation works and anything else relating to the repair, maintenance, new build or refurbishment of buildings, stations and depots.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Project Manager, You'll Be Working Within The Transport For London Team, Supporting Them In Delivering High-quality Projects That Meet Client Expectations. Your Day To Day Will Include

  • Supporting the implementation of health and safety management systems, conducting contractor and site audits, and ensuring operational health and safety is achieved
  • Appointing, instructing, monitoring and coordinating subcontractors and technical consultants throughout the contract period
  • Carrying out scoping, tendering, tender analysis and delivery of all aspects of works from conception to completion
  • Managing financial control of projects, ensuring effective risk and opportunity management, and communicating commercial aspects and targets
  • Undertaking asset condition audits to promote an accurate forward maintenance register and maintain a proactive pipeline of works

What are we looking for?

This role of Project Manager is great for you if:

  • You have a strong background as a project manager with experience of handover documentation, PFI KPIs and delivering projects of varying scopes
  • You have proven experience working on business fit outs and commercial premises with a strong MEP and fire element
  • You are commercially focused with demonstrable experience of being client facing within similar high-level contracts
  • You hold Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent, IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH, and industry relevant qualifications such as Prince 2 or equivalent
  • You have a high level of IT skills including Word, Excel and MPP (Project Programming), excellent communication skills and a proactive nature with an ability to show initiative
