Project Manager (Passive Fire) | (Hybrid / Bermondsey Office)

CR3 are currently working with a leading UK specialist in fire safety and passive fire protection, delivering complex projects across commercial, residential, retail, hospitality, education, heritage and critical infrastructure environments.

The business specialises in fire doors, fire stopping and compartmentation, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality work within live, occupied and sensitive environments. Their projects include major public institutions, commercial buildings and other high-profile sites across London and the South East.

They are now looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple passive fire protection projects, with a particular focus on fire doors, fire stopping and compartmentation.

The Role

  • Managing the delivery of multiple passive fire protection projects from mobilisation through to completion.
  • Taking ownership of project programmes, site coordination, resource planning and day-to-day delivery.
  • Managing Project Managers, Supervisors, operatives and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and internal teams.
  • Monitoring quality, inspections, reporting and handover documentation, including photographic evidence and digital compliance records.
  • Managing project risks, resolving delivery issues and maintaining strong commercial awareness throughout each project.
  • Ensuring works are completed in line with Approved Document B, BS 8214, relevant BS/EN standards, manufacturer guidance and third-party accreditation requirements.
  • Working across multiple live sites throughout London and the South East.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, Contracts Manager or similar within passive fire protection.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fire doors, including installation, inspection and remedial works.
  • Good understanding of fire stopping systems and compartmentation.
  • Experience delivering projects within occupied, complex or sensitive environments.
  • Confident managing direct labour and subcontractors across multiple sites.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage project risks, programmes and costs.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS, PRINCE2 or relevant fire door/passive fire certifications would be advantageous.
  • Experience working to third-party accredited standards would also be highly desirable.
