About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to oversee the delivery of physical security installation projects across the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from initial client engagement and site surveys through to quotation, installation, commissioning, and handover.

This is a client-facing role requiring strong project management, account management, and technical understanding of enterprise security systems. The ideal candidate will have experience within the electronic security industry and possess excellent communication and organisational skills.

What you will do

  • Manage multiple physical security installation projects simultaneously across the UK
  • Conduct client meetings and detailed site surveys to identify project requirements
  • Prepare and submit accurate quotations, proposals, and scope of works
  • Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed specifications
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and support ongoing account management activities
  • Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle
  • Attend project progress meetings and provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
  • Support system commissioning, testing, and final project handovers
  • Identify opportunities for additional works and business development within existing accounts

What we are looking for

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience managing physical security or electronic security installation projects
  • Strong understanding of security systems including access control, CCTV, and integrated security platforms
  • Experience carrying out site surveys and producing detailed quotations
  • Excellent client-facing and account management skills
  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project specifications
  • Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel nationwide as required

Desirable Experience

  • Knowledge and experience with enterprise security platforms such as:
    • Lenel OnGuard
    • Genetec Security Center
    • Software House C•CURE 9000
  • Additional experience with integrated CCTV, intrusion detection, and network infrastructure would be advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Project management qualification preferred (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent)
  • Relevant security industry certifications advantageous
  • ECS/CSCS card preferred
