Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What is this role?

We work with enterprise clients across energy, pharmaceuticals, retail, publishing and consumer goods on large-scale, multi-workstream transformation programmes, alongside client colleagues and other partners. Scope varies by engagement, but typically covers:

  • Governance and reporting: Weekly status reports, steering packs, and holding the reporting cadence across workstreams.
  • RAID management: Owning the risk, issue and dependency logs, chasing owners, driving items to resolution and escalating what stalls.
  • Planning: Building and maintaining the delivery plan, tracking milestones, flagging slippage early.
  • Delivery support: Running stand-ups and ceremonies, chasing actions, tracking budget against forecast, onboarding and offboarding team members.
  • Stakeholder management: Coordinating and, depending on the engagement, owning relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Coordination and documentation: Scheduling across client and partner organisations, workshop logistics, and maintaining document standards in SharePoint or Confluence.

On some engagements this extends to owning a workstream end to end, or setting up and improving governance and reporting frameworks rather than operating within existing ones.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in a PM or PMO role in a large or complex delivery environment.
  • Confident with the core artefacts: RAID logs, status reports, plans, action trackers.
  • Strong written communication, able to summarise detail for a senior audience.
  • Comfortable chasing senior stakeholders and holding them to commitments.
  • Agile sprint-based delivery experience, with exposure to hybrid or stage-gated governance.
  • Highly organised and self-directed, effective with limited supervision.
  • Able to bring structure where little exists, and to operate comfortably in ambiguity.

Tools: Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Aha, MS Project or Smartsheet, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Azure DevOps, Power BI, Miro and PRINCE2, AgilePM or Scrum certification are advantageous.
