Project Manager (Power Generation)
£60,000 - £70,000 + Company Benefits + Company Bonus + Hybrid

Are you a Project Manager from a Power Generation, Energy, or Engineering background looking to take ownership of multi-million-pound projects for a global business, with the opportunity to work across innovative low-carbon energy solutions and develop your career?
A leading international power generation specialist delivering low-carbon energy and battery storage solutions. Established in the 1980s, the business designs, builds, and maintains systems including gas engines, CHP, biogas, landfill gas, and battery storage. Working with public sector bodies, industrial clients, and energy developers, they deliver turnkey projects focused on energy efficiency, reduced emissions, and net zero goals. With over 200 professionals and a strong international presence, the organisation combines technical expertise, in-house manufacturing, and long-term customer support to deliver reliable energy solutions.
The Role
In this role, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of power generation and energy projects, managing projects from design and procurement through to installation and completion. You will oversee project budgets and P&L, coordinate engineering, commercial, and site activities, manage clients and suppliers, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.

- Manage power generation and energy projects from design through to completion, taking responsibility for budgets, profitability, and project P&L
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, civil, and construction activities, working closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Manage contracts, variations, commercial matters, project risks, and overall project performance
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the required quality standards, using Microsoft Project to manage programmes
- Travel to customer and project sites across the UK, with occasional overseas travel for supplier meetings and witness testing
The Person
- Project Manager within Power Generation or a similar
- HNC/HND or higher qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Experience managing NEC, FIDIC, IChemE, or MF1 contracts, alongside project budgets, commercial matters, and P&L
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK and head office in Manchester when required
