Project Manager – Power Generation & Modular Energy Solutions
Location: UK Based with Travel to Client Sites, Manufacturing Facilities and Commissioning Locations

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex power generation and modular energy projects across the UK.
This is a key leadership role responsible for managing projects from initial contract award through design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and final client handover. Working across standby power generation, modular energy solutions, HV and LV switchgear infrastructure and battery energy storage systems, you'll play a vital role in delivering mission-critical projects for customers operating in sectors including data centres, healthcare, utilities, defence, infrastructure and industry.
We're looking for a commercially minded and technically capable project professional with a strong background in power generation, energy infrastructure or critical power systems. If you're passionate about delivering complex engineering projects, leading multidisciplinary teams and building strong client relationships, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the delivery of power generation and modular infrastructure projects from concept through to commissioning and final acceptance.
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Managing project programmes, schedules, risks, reporting and stakeholder communications throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinating engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, installation and commissioning activities.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors and supply chain partners.
- Providing technical leadership across diesel and gas-powered generation projects and modular energy solutions.
- Supporting the successful delivery of HV and LV switchgear projects and associated electrical infrastructure packages.
- Managing project budgets, forecasts, contractual obligations and commercial performance.
- Leading commissioning, testing and operational acceptance activities.
- Mentoring Project Engineers and supporting the development of future project delivery talent within the business.

What we're looking for:
- Minimum 10 years' experience within power generation, critical power, switchgear or energy infrastructure sectors.
- Proven experience managing diesel and gas-powered power generation projects.
- Extensive experience delivering HV and LV switchgear packages.
- Strong client-facing project management background.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Proven commissioning and testing experience.
- Knowledge of power generation equipment and associated electrical infrastructure.
- Experience in modular construction or packaged energy solutions.
- HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical or Power Engineering.
- SMSTS or equivalent Site Management Qualification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Technical Expertise
You will possess strong technical knowledge across a number of the following areas:
- Diesel and gas generator systems.
- HV and LV switchgear.
- Synchronising and control systems.
- Protection systems and power distribution networks.
- Load bank testing and commissioning activities.
- Modular and containerised power solutions.
- Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
- Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office applications.
