The Role
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to oversee a comprehensive recladding project on a high-rise building in Central Manchester. You will hold full responsibility for delivery, ensuring the project meets all safety, quality, budgetary, and timeline targets over a 30-week contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations and coordinate specialist cladding subcontractors.
- Ensure strict compliance with building regulations, fire safety standards, and health & safety executive (HSE) guidelines.
- Track project milestones against the 30-week schedule, managing risks and resolving delays proactively.
- Act as the primary liaison between the client, local authorities, building control, and residents/tenants.
- Manage budgets, variations, and progress valuations alongside the commercial team.

Requirements
- Proven track record managing major external envelope, facade, or recladding projects.
- Deep understanding of current UK building regulations, fire safety legislation, and Remediation Funds.
- Valid certifications: SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, and First Aid at Work.
- Strong leadership skills to manage complex stakeholder environments in a busy city-centre location.
