About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee a property development project in Birmingham.
We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, organised and confident managing a construction project from start to finish. You should have strong experience working on residential or similar developments and be comfortable dealing with contractors, engineers, architects, and suppliers.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within construction/property development
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and sequencing
- Confident reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and engineering drawings
- Able to understand specifications and identify issues or discrepancies on site
- Experience coordinating and managing subcontractors and trades
- Strong understanding of quality control and workmanship
- Able to monitor progress against programme and identify delays early
- Confident managing costs, variations, and contractor payments
- Experience coordinating with Building Control, structural engineers, and other consultants
- Strong attention to detail, particularly around structural and foundation works
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Able to keep clear site records, photographs, progress reports, and documentation
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems before they become costly issues
- Strong understanding of health & safety requirements and site procedures
- Birmingham/local knowledge would be advantageous

We need someone who can confidently walk onto site, understand what is being built, read the drawings, challenge poor workmanship where necessary, coordinate the different parties, and keep the project moving.
