Connect2Hackney, the internal talent team for the London Borough of Hackney, are currently seeking an experienced NEC Project Manager to take end-to-end ownership of delivering key modules across our NEC system ecosystem.

In this role, you will lead the implementation across multiple active workstreams, keeping cross-functional teams aligned and driving technical integration from initial scope straight through to successful go-live.

Key Responsibilities

Module & Implementation Delivery

  • Take end-to-end ownership of project delivery across multiple active NEC system modules from initiation through to go-live.
  • Manage cross-module dependencies, technical integration points, and critical paths to ensure synchronised deployment.
  • Coordinate with technical leads and system architects to align module configurations with core business requirements.

Project Governance & Planning

  • Build, maintain, and execute comprehensive project plans while tracking key delivery milestones across all active workstreams.
  • Implement robust change control processes to manage scope changes and their impact across individual modules.
  • Maintain active RAIDD logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies, Decisions) to identify and mitigate roadblocks early.

Stakeholder & Team Alignment

  • Serve as the central point of contact for business stakeholders, external vendors, and internal technical teams.
  • Provide transparent project status reporting, performance dashboards, and executive updates.
  • Lead cross-functional operational working groups to drive accountability and keep individual module deliverables on schedule.

  • Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), operational readiness checks, and formal sign-offs across each module prior to release.
  • Monitor project resource allocation, budgets, and vendor deliverables against agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Essential Requirements

  • Hands-on NEC Experience: Demonstrated direct experience managing and delivering NEC systems previously.
  • Multi-Module Delivery: A proven track record of owning and executing multiple concurrent system modules in complex environments.
