Project Manager

Reports To: Senior Project Manager / Delivery Lead
Mission
The Project Manager is responsible for delivering allocated construction projects and project workstreams safely, efficiently, and in accordance with scope, programme, quality, and budget requirements while ensuring a positive customer experience.
As part of the DCS Delivery Team, the Project Manager supports the successful delivery of new-build data centre developments across Colt DCS's London Estate. Working alongside Senior Project Managers and cross-functional stakeholders, the role contributes to the execution of construction and infrastructure programmes through effective planning, coordination, governance, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of allocated projects, project phases, or workstreams from initiation through to handover and close-out.
- Support Senior Project Managers in the delivery of large-scale data centre developments and infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved safely, on time, and within budget.
- Monitor project progress against programme, scope, cost, quality, and risk objectives.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of project execution plans, schedules, reporting, and governance requirements.
- Identify project risks, issues, and opportunities and escalate where appropriate.
- Support the management of contractors, consultants, suppliers, and vendors to ensure agreed deliverables are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with Colt DCS policies, contractual obligations, and industry health and safety standards.
- Review project documentation and support change management processes.
- Contribute to cost management activities, including forecasting, budget tracking, and reporting.
- Coordinate project meetings, maintain action trackers, and ensure timely resolution of project matters.
- Support customer engagement activities, including fit-out coordination and project communications where required.
- Contribute to project lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build strong working relationships across the business to support successful project delivery.

Skills & Experience Required
- Experience delivering construction projects, work packages, or major project phases, ideally within the data centre, mission-critical, or wider construction sector.
- Good understanding of health and safety best practice within a construction environment.
- Technical understanding of CSA, Mechanical and Electrical systems.
- Experience working within Design & Build delivery models.
- Understanding of project management principles across scope, cost, schedule, quality, and risk management.
- Experience supporting project governance and project control processes.
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
- Experience preparing project reports, schedules, and progress updates.
- Good commercial awareness, including budget monitoring and change management.
- Experience working with contractors, consultants, and supply-chain partners.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to identify risks and issues and support mitigation planning.
- Experience working within technically complex engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of procurement and contract administration processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within larger project teams.
- Strong IT literacy, including Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications
- Academic qualification in a relevant construction, engineering, project management, or built environment discipline.
- Additional professional accreditation desirable but not required.
