Project Manager – SAP Data

Duration: 12-month contract
Workload: Full time hours (40 hrs/week)
Setup: Day rate contract Inside IR35
Location: Sunbury, UK (60/40 hybrid with 3 days per week onsite)

The client is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Delivery Manager to lead data delivery activities within a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programme, ensuring successful execution across data, analytics, AI, and business workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive delivery of data, analytics, and AI-related initiatives within the SAP S/4 programme.
  • Coordinate business, SAP, data, and analytics teams to manage dependencies and maintain delivery momentum.
  • Develop and manage project plans, milestones, RAID logs, and action trackers.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops, governance meetings, and decision-making sessions.
  • Support master data management, data migration, reporting, analytics, and AI enablement activities.
  • Ensure alignment between SAP data delivery, Azure-based data platforms, Databricks environments, and enterprise data governance frameworks.
  • Produce delivery updates, readiness assessments, and executive reporting packs.
  • Support transition of data solutions into BAU operations.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong experience as a Project Manager, Delivery Manager, or Data Workstream Lead.
  • Proven delivery experience within SAP, Data, Analytics, or AI-driven programmes.
  • Experience managing complex dependencies across business and technology stakeholders.
  • Hands-on expertise with project planning, RAID management, governance, and delivery reporting.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data management, data migration, data governance, ETL processes, and data reconciliation.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Nice-to-Have

  • SAP S/4HANA transformation programme experience.
  • Exposure to Azure, Databricks, and modern enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience with master data management, reporting & analytics, and AI enablement programmes.
  • Knowledge of data operating models and BAU transition activities.
  • Oil & Gas industry experience.
