Scrum Master & PMO Lead | Agile | Birmingham | Hybrid | Permanent
We're supporting a leading UK professional services organisation on the search for a Scrum Master & PMO Lead to join a growing internal technology function focused on AI, Automation and Digital Skills.
This is a highly visible role sitting at the heart of a fast-moving transformation team. You'll combine hands-on Scrum Master responsibilities with portfolio governance and delivery coordination, helping teams deliver effectively whilst providing senior leadership with clear delivery insight and confidence.
This isn't a pure Scrum Master role, and it's not a traditional PMO position. Instead, we're looking for someone who enjoys operating between delivery teams and leadership, ensuring priorities are turned into clear plans, risks are managed early, Agile ways of working are embedded, and delivery momentum is maintained across multiple workstreams.
Full time permanent role
Hybrid role (2/3 days per week on-site in Birmingham) Salary - Up to £65,000 (DOE)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitating Agile delivery across multiple teams and initiatives
- Running Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives
- Coaching teams on Agile principles and continuous improvement
- Supporting Product Owners with backlog management and prioritisation
- Removing delivery impediments and helping teams maintain momentum
- Establishing and improving governance, reporting and delivery management standards
- Managing RAID logs, dependencies, actions and portfolio reporting
- Providing delivery performance insights to senior stakeholders
- Supporting portfolio planning, prioritisation and governance cycles
- Acting as a key connector across teams, enabling collaboration and delivery flow

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
