Overview
We're looking for an organised, proactive Project Manager to plan and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard. You'll work with teams across the public sector and with external stakeholders, keeping projects moving and everyone aligned. This is a hands-on role operating within structured and governed environments where smooth delivery and time management are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects from initiation through to delivery and closure.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Build and maintain project plans, budgets, and resource forecasts.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and suppliers, and keep them accountable.
- Identify, track, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Communicate progress clearly to stakeholders through regular reporting and meetings.
- Manage changes to scope, cost, or schedule using a clear change control process.
- Run project meetings such as kick-offs, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to improving project processes.

Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing multiple projects in a similar role (typically 3+ years).
- Strong planning, budgeting, and risk management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Confident using project management tools (e.g. Jira, Asana, MS Project, or Monday.com).
- Ability to prioritise and stay calm under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Desirable Experience
- A recognised qualification such as PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP, or Agile/Scrum.
- Experience in government departments/public sector.
Location and Working Pattern
Hybrid working: On-site presence typically 3 days per week. Location: Swansea
