October 2026 Black History Month - Volunteer Role
Are you interested in October 2026 Black History Month? Do you love mental health events? Can you organise an event for 100+ delegates. Think Tenacity Events provides free therapy by tackling health inequalities.
What difference will you make?
This role supports Think Tenacity Events and Free Therapy Team to continue providing FREE counselling and mental health support for our members from the Black community.
This volunteering role will help our nonprofit organisation develop free entry events for 2026 to drive future success for the organisation to educate and raise awareness of Black mental health issues in the community.
What are we looking for?
Skills / Experience
- Mandatory minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.
- Highly deadline orientated person (mandatory)
- Confidence reporting weekly project status to CEO and senior management.
- Ability to use WhatsApp for event team communications (mandatory).
- A calm approach flexible under pressure when managing event schedules without being easily flustered (mandatory)
- The ability to manage several stakeholders and deadlines at the same time (mandatory).
- High attention to detail with organisational skills (mandatory)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence communicating with senior professionals and decision-makers.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently within a remote team.
- Must have proactive approach to share new event management ideas with high written and verbal communication
- Self-motivated to work independently remotely but can adapt to be a team player
- Effective ability to work with senior stakeholders and diverse communities with strong interpersonal skills

As Think Tenacity Project Manager (Senior Stakeholders) you will be responsible for managing engagement with senior mental health stakeholders before and during our annual mental health Think Tenacity event.

It is mandatory that applicants can demonstrate experience working with senior stakeholders and diverse communities.
You will
- Develop and manage a senior stakeholder engagement plan.
- From conception create and develop project plans, timelines, milestones and deliverables.
- Provide progress reports to the Think Tenacity Senior Management Team.
- Coordinate activities across volunteers, vendors, restaurant partners, and stakeholders.
- Track project progress and ensure deadlines are met.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Source senior representatives from healthcare, public services, charities and community organisations.
- Prioritize stakeholder introductions for our CEO and networking opportunities.
Be a team player working alongside Think Tenacity Event team.
- Manage stakeholder communications, invitations, follow-ups and attendance confirmations
- Maintain an accurate stakeholder contact and attendance tracker.
- Provide senior stakeholders with clear information to support speaker and panellists.
