Project Manager
Sizewell C
Salary: £72,000 - £75,000
Location: Bristol/Aztec West
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Benefits include:
- Annual Leave: 28 days per annum, increasing to 30 days after 5 years of service, plus bank holidays.
- Bonus: 5% annual bonus.
- Pension Contributions: Defined Contribution Pension Scheme with up to 7.5% employee contribution and 15% employer contribution.

Role Overview - About the Role
Sizewell C is seeking experienced Project Managers to support the delivery of one of the UK's most significant clean energy infrastructure projects.
Working across key programme areas including Mechanical, Electrical & HVAC (MEH), Nuclear Island (NI), Civil Works and Conventional Island / Balance of Plant (CI/BOP), you will be responsible for driving engineering, procurement and manufacturing activities from concept through to delivery.
The role will focus on advancing engineering maturity, managing critical interfaces, supporting procurement activities and ensuring the successful delivery of contracts and work packages. You will work closely with the Responsible Designer (RD), supply chain partners, quality teams and key stakeholders to help maximise replication from Hinkley Point C while ensuring Sizewell C-specific requirements are successfully implemented.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a nationally significant infrastructure programme, delivering complex projects safely, on time, to budget and to the highest quality standards.
Role Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Engineering Management
- Lead the delivery of engineering, procurement and manufacturing work packages across the Sizewell C programme.
- Take a strategic overview of Systems, Structures and Components (SSCs) within your allocated programme area.
- Drive the implementation of Sizewell C site-specific design changes within engineering and contract deliverables.
- Ensure engineering studies and technical deliverables are completed on time and meet project requirements.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop delivery strategies and programme execution plans.

Contract & Procurement Management
- Support the development of post-FID contract documentation, including technical specifications and contractual appendices.
- Manage the technical elements of procurement and tender activities for major contracts.
- Define work scopes, interfaces and delivery requirements across project packages.
- Ensure contractual requirements are understood, managed and fulfilled throughout delivery.
Stakeholder & Interface Management
- Manage internal and external interfaces across contracts, systems and programme areas.
- Work closely with suppliers, contractors, EDF stakeholders and project teams to support effective delivery.
- Identify and manage risks relating to design, procurement, supply chain and contract execution.
- Support early supplier engagement to identify obsolescence concerns and other delivery risks.
Programme Performance
- Drive delivery against cost, schedule, quality and safety objectives.
- Support risk, change and commercial management activities.
- Promote continuous improvement, lessons learned and knowledge capture across the programme.
- Ensure Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental standards remain at the forefront of project delivery.
About You: Essential Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Experience
- Proven Project Management or Project Engineering experience delivering large and complex projects from concept through to handover.
- Demonstrable success coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and procurement teams.
- Experience within major infrastructure, energy, industrial, manufacturing, construction, defence or similarly regulated environments.
- Experience procuring contracts for the design, manufacture and/or installation of industrial equipment.
- Strong understanding of project controls including cost, schedule, risk and change management.
- Experience managing engineers, consultants, contractors and key stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Experience managing complex contracts and commercial interfaces.
- Knowledge of multi-discipline EPCM project delivery environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications
- Degree qualified in: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Process Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
Desirable
- Previous experience within the nuclear industry.
- Chartered Engineer status.
- Formal Project Management qualification (APM, PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent).
- Experience procuring equipment or installation contracts for nuclear power stations.
