This is a highly collaborative and outward-facing position where you’ll work directly with ESA, satellite operators, technology partners, end users and internal teams. Alongside project leadership, you’ll contribute hands-on to proposals, requirements, documentation, presentations, testing and acceptance. You’ll be encouraged to explore new approaches, including the effective use of AI, while developing your technical understanding and being supported by experienced colleagues across CGI’s Space business.

• Lead & Deliver: Take ownership of complex space and satellite projects from initiation through successful delivery.
• Manage & Optimise: Control budgets, forecasts, schedules, resources, dependencies and commercial objectives across concurrent projects.
• Anticipate & Resolve: Proactively manage risks, issues and change, escalating appropriately and maintaining delivery momentum.
• Engage & Collaborate: Build trusted relationships with clients, ESA stakeholders, partners, end users and multidisciplinary CGI teams.
• Develop & Grow: Support proposals, business development and follow-on opportunities that strengthen CGI’s position across the space sector.
• Explore & Innovate: Identify practical applications for AI and emerging technologies to improve project delivery and customer outcomes.
• Shape & Communicate: Contribute to requirements gathering, documentation, client presentations, testing and acceptance activities.
• Own & Influence: Provide clear reporting and leadership, enabling teams and stakeholders to make informed decisions and achieve successful outcomes.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

You’ll bring strong project management capabilities and a demonstrable record of delivering projects successfully, combined with excellent client-facing communication and commercial awareness. You should be comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities and developing sufficient technical understanding to communicate confidently with specialist stakeholders. We also welcome Project Managers with strong space-sector experience who demonstrate the aptitude and ambition to take on increasing responsibility with support from the wider CGI team.

• Strong project management experience, including independent ownership of project delivery.
• Proven ability to manage risks, issues, dependencies and change proactively.
• Strong project financial management skills covering budgets, forecasting, reporting and commercial performance.
• Experience managing resources and priorities across multiple concurrent projects.
• Excellent written, verbal, reporting, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proven ability to build effective relationships with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Experience supporting proposals, business development, project extensions or follow-on work.
• Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable using AI tools and motivated to identify practical ways they can improve day-to-day work and project delivery.
• Ability to work from CGI’s Reading or Leatherhead office at least two days per week.
• SC clearance or eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance.
• A recognised project management qualification such as PMI PMP, APM PMQ or PRINCE2 Practitioner would be advantageous.
• Experience working with ESA or within the European space sector would be advantageous, including familiarity with ESA procurement, programme management and stakeholder engagement.
