About The Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Project Manager to lead initiatives focused on supply chain optimization in Nottingham. This role is crucial for improving the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and resilience of the company's supply chain operations. You will work closely with logistics, procurement, and operations teams to implement process improvements, technology solutions, and strategic changes. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of supply chain principles and a proven ability to manage complex projects that deliver measurable improvements in inventory management, transportation, and overall operational performance, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of projects aimed at optimizing the supply chain and logistics operations.
  • Develop detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, warehousing, and transportation, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement new technologies and processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve visibility across the supply chain.
  • Manage project risks and dependencies, ensuring successful and timely delivery of project outcomes.
  • Monitor project performance, track key metrics, and report on progress, challenges, and benefits realized.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on supply chain or logistics.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing projects that improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain management principles, logistics, and inventory control.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
