You will be joining a highly respected and well-established specialist civil engineering contractor delivering major packages on the Sizewell C project in Suffolk. This multi-accredited contractor operates across multiple project frameworks and major infrastructure projects, and prides itself on robust financial control, best-practice contract management and long-term client relationships. With more than £20m of secured work and a further £40m-plus pipeline at various stages of negotiation, they are actively seeking a Project Manager to join their team.
This is a full-time, site-based position at Sizewell C, requiring five days per week on site.
Your new role
As Project Manager, you will report directly to the Sizewell C Project Lead and take responsibility for the successful delivery of assigned work packages across the project. You will lead site teams and specialist subcontractors, ensuring operational excellence, strong commercial performance and effective stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading site operations while championing a proactive safety culture and nuclear safety standards.
- Managing engineers, supervisors, operatives and specialist subcontractors to achieve programme objectives.
- Building strong relationships with Sizewell C, the Civil Works Alliance and key project stakeholders.
- Developing and overseeing method statements, risk assessments, technical procedures and project documentation.
- Managing project programmes, identifying risks and implementing recovery plans where required.
- Supporting NEC contract administration, including early warnings, compensation events and change control processes.
- Preparing and negotiating monthly payment applications in line with contractual requirements.
- Ensuring quality records, inspection and test plans, and handover documentation meet nuclear-grade standards.
- Planning and coordinating resources, including labour, plant, equipment and materials.
- Supporting tendering activities, client engagement and the development of future project opportunities.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:
- Minimum five years' experience in project or site management within construction, civil engineering or similar sector
- Sound technical knowledge of civil engineering and proven experience managing site teams and subcontractors
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Strong communication, organisation and leadership capabilities
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain the relevant security clearance required for the Sizewell C site
- CSCS, SMSTS and full UK driving licence.
