Full-time / London / Hybrid - 3 days in office

IONATE is a deep tech scale-up building the hardware and software backbone for smart grids. Our mission is to transform power systems - from grids and microgrids to renewables and data centres - unlocking the massive potential in this under-innovated sector that touches every aspect of our modern lives.

We're looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up environment where priorities can evolve rapidly, and individuals are expected to take ownership beyond their immediate responsibilities. Working closely with project engineers, engineering teams, suppliers and customers, you will help lead project activities across the full lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through to installation, commissioning and commercial operation.

Drawing on your experience in hardware development, design, manufacturing and deployment, you will play a key role in coordinating customer projects and supporting product development initiatives, helping to take concepts and prototypes through to commercial products. This position may involve occasional travel within the UK and internationally to support customer meetings, site testing, project deployments and site commissioning activities.

What You Will Do

Project Delivery

  • Lead / Managing the planning, coordination and delivery of customer projects, product development activities, and pilot deployments.
  • Maintain project schedules, action trackers, risk registers and project documentation to ensure activities remain on track.
  • Coordinate activities across engineering, operations, manufacturing, suppliers and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates on schedule, risks, dependencies and key milestones.
  • Coordinate issue resolution activities by tracking actions, aligning stakeholders and escalating blockers where required.
  • Ensure project documentation, approvals and deliverables are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build strong working relationships with customers and support the delivery of a positive customer experience throughout project execution.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
