Lead the delivery of a transformative enterprise programme

Are you an experienced Technical Project Manager with a passion for driving complex technology programmes to successful delivery? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where coordination, planning and stakeholder management are critical to success?
We're looking for a Technical Project Manager to play a key role in Project Falcon, helping deliver a major SAP S/4HANA transformation programme. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a large-scale enterprise change initiative, coordinating technical delivery across multiple teams, suppliers and business functions.
The Opportunity
As Technical Project Manager, you'll be responsible for translating programme milestones into practical technical delivery plans and ensuring successful execution across your assigned scope.
You'll work closely with technical specialists, business stakeholders, testing teams, infrastructure, security and external partners to keep delivery on track, manage dependencies and risks, and ensure readiness for critical programme milestones including testing, deployment, cutover and go-live.
This role is all about driving delivery, enabling collaboration and maintaining control across a complex technical landscape.
What You'll Be Doing
Delivering Technical Change
- Create and maintain delivery plans aligned to programme milestones and stage gates
- Coordinate technical activities across multiple teams, ensuring clear ownership and accountability
- Track progress, manage actions and proactively remove delivery blockers
- Hold internal teams and suppliers accountable for agreed commitments
Managing Risks & Dependencies
- Own and maintain technical risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies
- Identify and escalate potential delivery impacts early
- Assess the impact of technical changes and provide informed recommendations
- Drive resolution of cross-functional technical challenges
Leading Cross-Team Coordination
- Bring together business, technical and supplier teams to ensure seamless delivery
- Coordinate activities across integration, infrastructure, environments, security, data migration and testing
- Ensure technical deliverables are sequenced effectively to support SIT, UAT, cutover and go-live activities
- Promote transparent communication and effective handovers between teams

Readiness, Testing & Deployment
- Support planning and readiness activities across the programme lifecycle
- Challenge unrealistic plans, hidden dependencies and delivery risks
- Coordinate environment readiness, integration support and defect resolution activities
- Prepare and validate readiness evidence for deployment, cutover and hypercare
- Work alongside Test Managers and Release/Cutover teams to support successful execution
Governance & Reporting
- Produce clear, concise reporting for programme leadership
- Highlight milestone confidence, key risks, issues and decisions required
- Support governance forums and assurance reviews
- Contribute to service transition, operational handover and lessons learned activities
About You
You'll be a confident and organised project professional who can bring structure and clarity to large-scale technical programmes.
You will be:

- Excellent at managing risks, dependencies and competing priorities
- A strong communicator who can influence stakeholders at all levels
- Comfortable working across matrix organisations and supplier environments
- Methodical, proactive and highly organised
- Resilient under pressure and able to navigate complex challenges
- Skilled at turning technical plans into measurable delivery outcomes
Essential Experience
What We're Looking For
- Significant project management experience delivering technology-enabled business transformation programmes
- Considerable experience coordinating technical workstreams in complex enterprise environments
- Proven track record managing risks, dependencies, milestones and delivery readiness
- Experience supporting SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live and hypercare activities
- Experience working with internal technical teams, suppliers and systems integrators
- Demonstrable stakeholder management and governance experience
- Ability to operate successfully within structured programme delivery frameworks
Desirable Experience
- SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC programme experience
- ERP transformation delivery experience
- Experience within manufacturing, logistics, construction materials or other operationally intensive industries
- Exposure to data migration, integration, infrastructure and service transition activities

Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Technology, Engineering, Business or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- PRINCE2, PMP, APM or similar project management certification preferred
- Additional technical or IT service management qualifications would be beneficial
