Job Purpose
This fixed term contract will lead and oversee a range of technology projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and within budget. The role will manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, working across functions and applying strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills to achieve successful project outcomes.

The Team
The role reports to the PMO Manager and is supported by a Project Support Officer (PSO), with no line management responsibility for the PSO.
The Technology team comprises three key areas: Infrastructure, Enterprise Applications and Information Management. The role will work closely with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and colleagues across these areas on cross-functional projects and initiatives.
Principal Accountabilities
Project Planning and Delivery
- Define and agree project objectives and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines and milestones.
- Identify resource requirements and engage teams and vendors to fulfil project deliverables, identifying and escalating gaps.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration between internal stakeholders, including IT/Technology, Web and PMO.
- Monitor project progress, proactively identifying and addressing risks, issues, dependencies and deviations from the project plan.
- Ensure revisions to project objectives, deliverables and plans are reviewed and approved.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditure and report on financial performance.
Stakeholder Engagement and Governance
- Engage and manage stakeholders, including external vendors, at all levels, providing regular updates and facilitating decision-making.
- Ensure projects adhere to the Foundation’s policies, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the Foundation’s Project Management Office (PMO), adopting its methodologies and ways of working.
- Organise and chair project meetings, workshops and steering group sessions.
- Prepare and present project status reports to leadership and stakeholders at all levels.

Testing and Implementation
- Design, coordinate and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including developing test scripts, recording results and providing clear, actionable insights to inform go/no-go decisions.
- Ensure unit and integration testing is carried out thoroughly, with timely resolution of defects and stakeholder sign-off.
- Oversee change management activities, including communications, training and post-implementation support documentation.
- Champion continuous improvement and lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills and Attributes
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to coordinate complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality outcomes.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong team ethic; able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong influencing and relationship-building skills across functions and organisational levels, including stakeholder engagement, negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and evolving business needs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative and proactive approach to making progress through complexity and uncertainty.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience managing technology initiatives and implementing technology solutions, including complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Experience managing system implementation projects, preferably in a similar industry or environment.
- Experience managing technology vendor relationships.
- Experience managing technology change and supporting or leading organisational change initiatives, with a strong understanding of change management frameworks and best practices.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and frameworks, such as PRINCE2, Agile and those established by PMI.
- Experience working closely with internal governance and oversight groups, such as a PMO.
- Experience designing, managing or overseeing UAT cycles, including documenting test cases and reporting outcomes.
- A professional project management certification would be desirable.
- Experience working in non-profit, international organisations or standard-setting bodies would be desirable.
