Tempest Jones is supporting a leading international construction and property consultancy with several appointments across its growing Healthcare Project Management team in Yorkshire.
The business is currently involved in the delivery of more than £2.5bn of healthcare projects across Yorkshire, creating opportunities for Project Managers who want to develop their experience on major, complex programmes without having to build their career around projects elsewhere in the UK.
We are interested in speaking with Project Managers through to Associate-level professionals who are ambitious about their career and want the opportunity to work with multiple NHS Trusts across a substantial and growing regional programme.
This isn't simply an opportunity to join one project. You will become part of a wider healthcare team with the scale of workload, client relationships and pipeline to offer genuine variety and long-term progression.
The opportunity
Depending on your level and experience, you will take responsibility for managing healthcare projects through different stages of their lifecycle, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and other key stakeholders.
Your responsibilities could include:
- Managing projects from initial feasibility and business case through design, procurement, construction and completion
- Establishing project objectives, programmes and delivery strategies
- Coordinating multidisciplinary consultant and contractor teams
- Managing programme, risk, change and project governance
- Supporting procurement and appointment processes
- Monitoring project performance and reporting clearly to clients and stakeholders
- Building strong relationships with NHS Trusts and wider project stakeholders
- Identifying issues early and driving appropriate solutions
- Supporting and mentoring developing Project Managers
- At Associate level, taking greater responsibility for major commissions, client relationships and team development

About you
We are open to speaking with people at different stages of their Project Management career, from established Project Managers looking for their next step through to Senior and Associate Project Managers.
You will ideally have:
- Experience managing construction or property projects
- A background within a consultancy, client organisation, contractor or other relevant built environment environment
- Strong project delivery and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams
- Good commercial awareness and an understanding of project risk
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- A relevant degree or professional qualification, or be working towards one
Healthcare experience would naturally be valuable, but we are also interested in people who have developed strong project management experience within other complex built environment sectors and can transfer that experience into healthcare.
