About the Company

We are one of Mansfield’s longest-standing tooling and engineering companies, with a reputation built over many years for the manufacture, modification and development of high-quality tooling and engineered solutions.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our established team and take responsibility for the successful delivery of a range of tooling and engineering projects.

This is an office-based role suited to an organised, commercially aware and proactive Project Manager who is comfortable managing customers, suppliers, engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, to specification and within budget.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take ownership of multiple tooling and engineering projects from initial customer instruction through to completion.

Projects will include tooling modifications, landing tools, steel tooling manufacture, tooling repairs, development work and associated engineering projects.

You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of project delivery, ensuring that everyone involved understands what is required, when it is required and what needs to happen next.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing multiple tooling and engineering projects simultaneously
  • Taking ownership of project timing, cost, quality and delivery
  • Managing tooling modifications and engineering change projects
  • Coordinating the manufacture and delivery of steel production tools
  • Managing landing tool projects and associated activities
  • Creating and maintaining project schedules and delivery plans
  • Coordinating internal engineering, manufacturing and toolmaking teams
  • Managing external suppliers and subcontractors
  • Liaising directly with customers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Providing regular project updates and managing customer expectations
  • Tracking project costs, quotations, purchase orders and additional works
  • Identifying project risks and putting mitigation plans in place
  • Managing changes to project scope, timing and cost
  • Coordinating tooling trials, modifications and final delivery
  • Ensuring project documentation and records are maintained
  • Escalating issues quickly and driving actions through to completion
  • Supporting commercial discussions and identifying opportunities for additional work
  • Ensuring projects are completed to the required customer specification and quality standards

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You

  • Managing project schedules, costs and delivery
  • Customer-facing project management

The successful candidate will be:

  • Organised – able to manage several projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Commercially aware – understands the relationship between scope, cost and delivery
  • Customer focused – confident managing expectations and building strong relationships

  • A strong communicator – able to coordinate customers, suppliers and internal teams
  • Driven – takes ownership and responsibility for project outcomes
  • Detail focused – understands that small details can have a significant impact on tooling projects
  • Calm under pressure – able to manage changing priorities and demanding deadlines
