Project Manager - Turbine Balance of Plant (BOP) Sizewell C
Sizewell C is entering an exciting phase of growth as we mature into an independent organisation and continue building one of the UK's largest and most important energy projects. We are now recruiting the below position.
- Location: Bristol (Hybrid, minimum 3 days per week in the office)
- Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
- Salary: £75,000 depending on experience, plus benefits
- Closing Date: 26.09.2026
Benefits include:
- Annual Leave: 28 days per annum, increasing to 30 days after 5 years of service, plus bank holidays
- Bonus: 5% annual bonus
- Pension Contributions: Defined Contribution Pension Scheme with up to 7.5% employee contribution and 15% employer contribution
- Life Assurance: Up to 8x salary
Role Overview
Sizewell C is seeking a Project Manager to join the Conventional Island Team, responsible for delivering critical Turbine Balance of Plant systems that support the safe and efficient operation of one of the world's largest steam turbine installations. This is a unique opportunity to manage the delivery of complex mechanical, electrical and associated plant systems throughout the full project lifecycle, from design and manufacture through to construction and commissioning.

Role Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of Balance of Plant scope to key project milestones and operational requirements.
- Manage design, manufacturing, construction and commissioning activities across a complex engineering portfolio.
- Maintain configuration control and manage design changes and technical open points.
- Ensure quality standards are achieved throughout manufacturing, delivery and installation activities.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage project risks, opportunities, costs, schedules and change control processes.
- Support incorporation of lessons learned from Hinkley Point C into the Sizewell C programme.
About You
Essential
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Proven experience managing large-scale engineering or capital projects.
- Experience across design, manufacture, installation and commissioning project phases.
- Experience managing major contracts, ideally within FIDIC environments.
- Strong stakeholder and supplier management capability.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
- Chartered Project Professional (ChPP), Chartered Engineer, or working towards chartership.

Desirable
- Experience within nuclear, energy, utilities, defence, rail or other highly regulated industries.
- Knowledge of major infrastructure project delivery environments.
- Experience delivering projects from concept through to operational handover.
