Job Description
The Project Manager coordinates the activities of internal teams, third-party vendors, and client personnel, ensuring effective communication and adherence to established governance and change-control processes. This role requires strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. The Project Manager is responsible for monitoring project costs, maintaining accurate forecasts, and supporting timely customer billing.
Responsibilities
Location & Travel
- Attendance at the Aberdeen office with opportunity for remote working.
- The role requires flexibility to travel locally within Aberdeen area and within the UK. Occasional overseas travel may be required.
Functions
- Manage the delivery of assigned projects from initiation through to completion, including development of project plans and communication materials.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, vendors, clients, and stakeholders.
- Coordinate infrastructure and network projects, including LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi deployments and upgrades.
- Communicate project objectives, status, risks, and expectations clearly and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Define and manage project scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables in alignment with customer requirements.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, forecasts, and customer billing activities.
- Ensure compliance with project governance and change-control processes.
- Identify, assess, manage, and escalate project risks, issues, and dependencies as appropriate.
- Coordinate project activities and responsibilities across project teams and stakeholders.
- Support effective collaboration within project teams and facilitate resolution of project-related issues.
- Produce regular project status reports including schedule, financial, and risk information.
- Manage approved scope changes and assist in developing mitigation and contingency plans where required.
- Support the development and maintenance of positive business relationships that contribute to successful project delivery.
- Travel domestically or internationally up to approximately 15% as required.

Required Experience
- Experience managing IT or infrastructure projects, preferably within industrial, offshore, or enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of network technology projects, including LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi solutions.
- Experience monitoring project budgets, costs, forecasts, and customer billing activities.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, or Agile.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working within a structured project management environment.
- Demonstrated experience delivering infrastructure or technology projects.
- APM, PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
- Experience delivering projects within the energy sector is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Understanding of project governance and change-control processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Visio.
