About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, proactive Mental Health Practitioner to manage our Recovery Service in Whalley Range, Manchester. You’ll lead a dedicated team providing person-centred care for 11 individuals with enduring mental health needs and one with a learning disability.
Our service focuses on developing skills and confidence for independent living and an active lifestyle. We empower people through encouraging self-management, resilience, and strength-based approaches rooted in respect and positive regard.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Service Manager in line-managing the team
- Meet goals, conduct holistic assessments, and create support plans with accurate records on our ECCO system
- Demonstrate warmth, compassion, and build trusting relationships based on empathy and respect
- Engage individuals in meaningful planning and therapeutic activities
- Work collaboratively with their families and mental health professionals and agencies
- Ensure safe management and administration of medicines
- Plan and organise care delivery with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate leadership and management competencies with multidisciplinary team members

Requirements
- At least 2 years of practitioner experience
- Supervisory or management experience and relevant qualifications are desirable
- Up-to-date understanding of recovery principles, mental health legislation, and interventions
- Knowledge of the MHA, MCA, DOLs, and care standards
- Flexibility to work shifts on a rota system
