Project Manager – Steelwork / Construction
UK-wide | Permanent | Competitive salary + benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join an established specialist business operating within the construction and steelwork sector.
The company specialises in the design, fabrication and installation of highly engineered steelwork, staircases and balustrade systems, delivering everything from one-off applications through to complex multi-site and multi-flight installations.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager looking to take ownership of a varied portfolio of projects and work with a specialist business delivering technically challenging projects across the UK.
The Role:
As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of allocated projects from initial planning through to completion.
You'll be responsible for:
- Managing projects safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
- Managing day-to-day site activities and site personnel
- Developing and monitoring project programmes
- Managing contractual documentation, orders, bonds and warranties
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, customers and internal teams
- Ensuring all health & safety, quality, environmental and contractual requirements are met
- Monitoring project progress, costs and commercial performance
- Working closely with Site Supervisors, Project Surveyors, Commercial, Drawing Office and Production teams
- Attending client, project and site meetings across the UK
- Managing multiple projects and competing priorities effectively

About You
We're looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager who can demonstrate:
- Proven experience in a similar Project Manager role
- Strong construction industry experience
- Ideally, experience within steelwork, structural steel, staircases, balustrades or architectural metalwork
- CSCS card
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills
- Excellent project management and problem-solving abilities
- Commercial awareness and a collaborative approach
- The ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams

Travel
This is a UK-wide role involving regular site visits and client meetings.
The successful candidate must be willing to travel and stay away from home for up to four nights per week, when required.
Working Hours
- Monday–Thursday: 08:30–17:00
- Friday: 08:30–14:30
37.5 hours per week
