About the Company

Our client, an ambitious and growing rail consultancy, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver infrastructure and construction projects for Network Rail and train companies throughout the UK. With Luton's fast links into London and the wider rail network, this home-based role suits someone in Bedfordshire or the surrounding South East area who wants to take the next step with a business in growth mode.

About the Role

Rail Project Manager: Infrastructure & Construction | Home-Based (Luton / Bedfordshire & South East) £50,000 – £55,000 per annum + great benefits

The role is to manage rail infrastructure and construction projects across the full project lifecycle, taking ownership of programme, budget, risk, quality and safety, while building strong relationships with key stakeholders and working from home with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

  • Manage rail infrastructure and construction projects across the full project lifecycle
  • Take ownership of programme, budget, risk, quality and safety
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with clients, contractors and colleagues
  • Engage confidently with senior stakeholders at Network Rail and train operating companies
  • Work from home, with occasional travel to client sites across the UK

Qualifications

A recognised project management qualification (APM, PMP, PRINCE2 or similar) or proven delivery experience

Required Skills

  • Significant experience in the rail industry, managing infrastructure or construction projects
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills
  • Hardworking, motivated and ambitious, with a proactive approach
  • Self-disciplined and effective as a home-based worker
