Project Manager - Utility Scale Solar - UK/Hybrid
A great opportunity has come up for an experienced Project Manager to join a company that specialises in the planning/design and construction of utility scale Solar/PV projects across the UK.
The successful Project Manager will be responsible for managing these utility scale (ground mount) projects from design to construction execution, commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial and technical negotiations, including scope of works, pricing and programme development.
- Primary interface with clients, DNOs, ICPs and key stakeholders.
- Preparing scopes and overseeing subcontractor procurement, tendering, and contract administration.
- Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
- Oversight of grid connection activities, including HV interfaces.
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards, contractual and warranty obligations and HSE requirements.
- Managing commissioning, handovers and acceptance.

Essential Skills:
- Strong experience managing turnkey EPC projects within the utility scale renewable space, ideally Solar.
- Proven experience managing projects involving high-voltage grid connections.
- Electrical/utilities background preferred.
- Solution driven with excellent organisational skills.
- Strong leadership ability with experience managing internal project team as well as external contactors.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level 7 or equivalent).
- Project Management qualification, PMP/PRINCE2 preferred.
- Willing and able to travel.

- CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test for Managers and Professionals.
- Experience working with or alongside Independent Connection Providers (ICPs).
