The Role

You will be responsible for several Complex / Strategic Projects and tasked with ensuring our commitments to our internal and external stakeholders are met. Our projects have a diverse and complex stakeholder community, both internal and external to the company

Day-to-day, you’ll be working with the UK MOD with Test & Evaluation and Training capabilities in the UK. QinetiQ undertakes specification, design, procurement, development, integration and acceptance of the Test & Evaluation and Training Systems across the Maritime, Land, and Air domains.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivery of assigned projects to time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction
  • Pro-active Stakeholder management and relationship building
  • Support the IDT with Follow-On Sales to support QinetiQ growth ambitions
  • Open, accurate and timely project reporting, both to internal management and external customers
  • Delivery of the project outputs, to agreed baseline (customer satisfaction, time, cost, quality, cash and sales)

Essential experience of the Project Manager:

  • 2-5 years of experience within a Project Management environment
  • Ideally from a heavy regulated industry background such as Defence or Aerospace

Essential qualifications for the Project Manager:

  • APM PMQ, Prince2

This role is 37 hours per week based at either Fort Halstead or Shoeburyness with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.

Shoeburyness

QinetiQ Shoeburyness is a significant test and evaluation facility specialising in defence and security technologies. The site is focused on Environmental Testing including the evaluation of various ordnance, explosives and related systems. Implementing measures to ensure that testing activities comply with environmental regulations and minimise ecological impact.

Fort Halstead

Our facilities at Fort Halstead, located in Kent, focus on a wide range of defence-related research, particularly weapons systems and military technology. Modern laboratories enable engineers and scientists to conduct high-tech research in material science, systems engineering, and advanced simulation techniques.

Please note that all applicants for this role must be eligible for SC clearance, as a minimum.
