AI Project Manager – Fractional Contract

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, an innovative AI consultancy, who are looking for an experienced AI Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis.

This is not a Salesforce role. However, our client believes that experienced Salesforce Project Managers and other technology PMs have many of the skills needed to make the move into AI consulting.

If you've spent the last few years managing technology projects, working with senior stakeholders and helping configure solutions to meet business requirements, you'll be given the opportunity to get up to speed with the AI technology through a dedicated Claude bootcamp.

You'll be working directly with clients, helping them understand where AI can solve real business problems and managing the projects that turn those ideas into reality.

The Role

As an AI Project Manager, you'll be the person keeping client projects moving - understanding what the business needs, challenging assumptions, coordinating stakeholders and making sure solutions are delivered effectively.

This is a highly client-facing and consultative role. You'll regularly engage with C-suite stakeholders, so you'll need the confidence to ask difficult questions and challenge thinking when necessary, while always doing so in a friendly and constructive way.

You'll also need to be comfortable getting into the detail of how solutions are configured to meet requirements. You won't need to be a coder, but you should be technically minded and comfortable working alongside technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage AI projects from discovery through to delivery.
  • Work directly with C-suite and senior stakeholders to understand their challenges and objectives.
  • Lead client conversations, workshops and project meetings.
  • Challenge requirements and assumptions to identify better solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into clear project plans and deliverables.
  • Coordinate internal teams and client stakeholders to keep projects on track.
  • Help configure and implement solutions to meet agreed business requirements.
  • Manage timelines, priorities, risks and dependencies.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients.
  • Take ownership of follow-ups and manage your own workload effectively.
  • Travel regularly to client offices across the UK.
  • Work collaboratively with a passionate, innovative and entrepreneurial team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
