Role Title: Data Project Manager
Duration: 6 month contract
Location: Telford. Hybrid, 2 days per week onsite
Rate: up to £460 p/d Umbrella inside IR35
Clearance required: SC eligibility is required. Active SC Desired
Role purpose / summary
A Junior Engagement Manager is required for a high-profile engagement within the Data Portfolio Area, supporting delivery within the client’s AEOI programme. This is a key supporting role, working alongside senior leadership to coordinate delivery, manage stakeholders, and ensure smooth execution across multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management of delivery teams, including Delivery Leads and cross-functional scrum teams
- Coordinate multiple workstreams within the programme, ensuring alignment across timelines, deliverables, and dependencies
- Track and report on delivery progress, including risks, issues, and milestones across different workstreams
- Support financial management activities (e.g. budget tracking, forecasting support, reporting) across a £5–7m programme
- Assist in stakeholder management, including preparing materials and supporting governance forums for a high-profile, legislative-driven programme
- Identify and escalate risks and blockers, supporting the development of mitigation actions
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the programme and wider AEOI Portfolio
- Support proposal development and inputs to work packages or Statements of Work (SOWs), where required

Essential:
- Experience supporting delivery of IT projects or programmes (e.g. PM, PMO, or junior EM role)
- Experience working across multiple workstreams or teams within a delivery environment
- Strong risk, issue, and dependency tracking capability
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to build working relationships
- Basic financial awareness (budget tracking, reporting support)
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery environments (e.g. Scrum, SAFe)
- Familiarity with collaboration tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence)

Desirable:
- Exposure to large government programmes
- Experience supporting bids, proposals, or commercial inputs
- Understanding of service transition into live operations
- Awareness of DevOps and product/team delivery models
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Scrum Master, SAFe Foundation)
