Work mode: Hybrid - 3 days in a week from office
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join our Technical Services group, leading the planning, execution, and delivery of hardware and software solutions for our enterprise clients in the financial services and industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will bridge business needs and technical delivery, coordinating cross-functional and client-facing teams to deploy complex technology solutions on time, within scope, and within budget — while meeting the rigorous compliance, security, and reliability standards expected by enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of hardware and software solution projects for enterprise financial and industrial clients, including deployments, integrations, upgrades, and migrations
- Serve as primary project point of contact for client stakeholders, managing expectations and relationships throughout the project lifecycle
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with clients, internal stakeholders, and the Technical Services Director
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies spanning both hardware procurement/deployment and software implementation workstreams
- Manage project budgets, tracking costs, margins, and forecasting spend across client engagements
- Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams including field engineers, solution architects, software developers, and third-party/OEM vendors
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, with particular attention to client environments with strict uptime, security, and regulatory requirements
- Communicate project status, timelines, and issues to client stakeholders, senior leadership, and the Technical Services Director
- Ensure projects adhere to relevant industry compliance and regulatory standards (e.g., financial services regulations, data security requirements) as well as internal IT governance
- Manage change requests and scope adjustments through formal change control processes, particularly around hardware lead times and client sign-off requirements
- Coordinate hardware logistics, installation scheduling, and vendor delivery timelines alongside software implementation milestones
- Facilitate project meetings including kickoffs, status updates, steering committees, and post-deployment reviews with client and internal teams
- Maintain project documentation, including charters, plans, RAID logs, statements of work, and post-implementation reviews
- Manage relationships with hardware/software vendors and subcontractors involved in solution delivery
- Support pre-sales or scoping activities as needed, providing project delivery input into proposals and statements of work

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
