Role Overview
To effectively manage and coordinate customer enquiries, Job bookings and delivery through effective liaison with clients, stakeholders and the planning and scheduling teams to ensure efficient delivery of works. The role is responsible for building strong client relationships with the client’s project management teams.
The Project Manager will take ownership of projects from inception through to completion, overseeing the full job lifecycle and ensuring that all works are planned and booked efficiently in line with client requirements.
The role is responsible for maintaining accurate workflow management within REPS, ensuring that point-of-delivery documentation is completed and checked, appropriate evidence is captured, and Work in Progress (WIP) records remain accurate. The Project Manager will also ensure that completed works are invoiced promptly and closed out within agreed timescales.
The role holder will have a strong understanding of the Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) industry, planning environments, council permitting processes and operational delivery. This knowledge will enable them to support compliant, efficient and high-quality service delivery while maintaining strong levels of customer satisfaction.
The role also plays a key part in supporting operational efficiency through proactive planning, effective communication and a commitment to continuous improvement.

A core responsibility is to ensure that sufficient evidence is captured to support invoicing and that WIP remains accurate and up to date within the REPS platform. The Project Manager will also be responsible for the initial preparation of Applications for Payment (AFPs), ensuring that all supporting information is accurate, complete and available to facilitate timely invoicing.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of multiple traffic management projects.
- Coordinate operational teams, supervisors and field staff.
- Liaise directly with clients, contractors and local authorities.
- Ensure works comply with Chapter 8 and NHSS standards.
- Oversee planning, programme management and delivery.
- Monitor project costs and commercial performance.
- Ensure health & safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to operational teams.
Strategic Leadership
- Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Proactively manage and resolve customer, operational and scheduling issues. Identify risks to delivery and take preventative action. Manage changes to jobs and resources efficiently.
- Strong experience in process management, planning, and workflow optimisation.
- Strategic Decision-Making: Analyse and manage:
- Customer enquiries and requests.
- Deadlines and job priorities.
- Job and task ownership.
- WIP accuracy.
- Operational capacity and delivery.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accurate data inputting into the REPS platform. Maintaining accurate records of works delivered and evidence of client requests.
- To assist with invoicing accuracy and timely processing.
- Maintain high standards of data integrity and system accuracy.
- Ensure that any related TTM designs are accurate, compliant and tailored towards client’s operational specific requirements.
- Ensure that Permits and Permissions (TTRO’s) are accurate and submitted in a timely fashion.
- Communication: Build and maintain strong client relationships. Communicate regularly with customers and internal stakeholders. Keep Senior Project Managers updated on workload and customer activity. Escalate issues, risks and complaints appropriately.

Compliance & Risk Management
- Risk management: Proactively manage delivery risks, ensuring job readiness and confirmation prior to delivery. Monitor provisional jobs and secure confirmations.
- Compliance: Ensure council permissions and permits are applied for in line with notice periods to allow the job to run smoothly. Ensure permissions and payments are recorded accurately. Maintain compliance with planning, design teams and operational requirements.
- H&S: Ensure delivery aligns with HSEQ standards. Maintain compliance with safe systems of work. Support operational best practice. Ensure that works are programmed in line with BUKO’s SSoW’s document suite.
Operations & Systems
- TTM Operations: Demonstrate excellent knowledge of TTM and the planning environment. Support major projects and act as lead coordinator where required, attending site meetings, team’s meetings and client meetings as required.
Hours of Work
- Monday to Friday 06:00-16:00 with 30mins for lunch (47.5hrs per week).
Salary
- Up to £45,000.00 - dependant on experience.
