Join a growing Engineering Framework Delivery team delivering high-profile work across our Water Consultancy business. This is an opportunity to support major clean water programmes and help shape the delivery of essential projects that make a real difference to communities across the UK.

Purpose and Scope of the Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of multiple client projects within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, modellers, and data analysts. Working closely with Technical Managers and clients, you will manage project planning, governance, reporting, forecasting, technical delivery, and financial control. You will lead projects from inception, proposal through to feasibility, outline, detailed design stages, construction support, handover, and closure. You will work to ensure delivery to time, quality, and cost while supporting billing, invoicing, and wider team coordination.

Your Impact in This Position

  • You will play a key role in delivering a strong pipeline of water industry projects, supporting AMP8 programmes and beyond.
  • In the short term, you will build trusted relationships, manage active projects, and strengthen delivery controls.
  • Over time, you will help improve project processes, support colleagues through training and guidance, and contribute to a high-performing, collaborative culture with real scope for career development.

Core Capabilities

  • Project delivery leadership – Confidently manage multiple projects at once, ensuring clear objectives, progress tracking, and successful outcomes across the full lifecycle.
  • Technical knowledge – The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of the various disciplines involved in water project delivery and their relative requirements, skillsets, and data needs.
  • Commercial and financial awareness – Monitor budgets, forecasts, and performance data, using insight to support effective decision-making and project control.
  • Stakeholder engagement – Communicate clearly with clients, Technical Managers, and colleagues, building strong working relationships, manage the flow of information between technical teams, and respond effectively to project needs.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills – Interpret complex information, identify risks, and develop practical solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Continuous improvement mindset – Support better ways of working by developing guidance, sharing knowledge, and contributing to process improvements across the team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
