Your new company
An established infrastructure and civil engineering contractor is continuing to grow its presence across the Anglian Water network and has secured a strong pipeline of AMP projects throughout the region. As a result of ongoing investment and increased workload, they are seeking experienced Project Managers to join their delivery team, with a particular focus on schemes based around Norwich and the wider Norfolk area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term framework programme delivering essential improvements to water and wastewater assets. The organisation can offer a steady stream of projects and welcomes applications from professionals looking for ongoing contract opportunities within the region.
Your new role
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of infrastructure projects from initial planning stages through to commissioning and final handover. You will play a key role in ensuring projects meet programme objectives while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and commercial performance.
Duties will include:
- Taking overall responsibility for project delivery across multiple phases of work
- Coordinating site management teams, subcontract partners, and specialist suppliers
- Driving construction programmes to achieve key milestones and deadlines
- Managing project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation
- Ensuring all activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements
- Developing productive relationships with clients, design teams, and key stakeholders
- Reviewing project progress and providing regular updates to senior leadership teams
- Managing contractual requirements and supporting effective change control procedures
- Identifying and addressing delivery risks, technical challenges, and programme constraints
- Encouraging best practice, innovation, and continuous improvement across project teams
- Working closely with commercial functions to monitor costs, opportunities, and risk exposure

What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrable experience delivering projects within the water, utilities, or infrastructure sectors
- Previous responsibility for managing projects on behalf of a main contractor
- Sound knowledge of civil engineering and construction delivery methodologies
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across complex projects
- SMSTS qualification
- Valid CSCS card
- Working knowledge of NEC forms of contract
- Strong planning, commercial awareness, and programme management capability
- Effective communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Full UK driving licence

Ideally, you'll also have
- Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline
- Temporary Works knowledge or relevant training
- Previous involvement in regulated utility or water framework environments
- Additional industry-recognised management or supervisory qualifications
