Project Manager – AI / GenAI

Location: London preferred; Leeds / Edinburgh / Aberdeen also considered
Work Model: Hybrid – approximately 50% onsite (around 3 days per week)
Contract: Approx. 9 months

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a key workstream within a major AI transformation programme in a complex and regulated environment. The role requires strong end-to-end project delivery experience, working with senior business stakeholders and product/technology teams to successfully deliver complex AI-enabled transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex AI/digital transformation projects and workstreams.
  • Develop and manage project plans, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
  • Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
  • Coordinate delivery across business, product, technology, and change teams.
  • Manage competing priorities and make appropriate delivery trade-offs.
  • Provide clear project governance, reporting, and progress updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Engage and influence senior and executive stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, resources, and value delivery.
  • Drive delivery within complex, ambiguous, and highly interdependent environments.
  • Support successful implementation and associated business change.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with established project methodologies and governance standards.

Essential Experience

  • 5–7+ years of Project Management / Delivery experience.
  • Strong experience delivering complex technology/digital transformation programmes.
  • Experience working on AI, GenAI, or AI-enabled transformation programmes is highly preferred.
  • Strong senior/executive stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Proven experience managing risks, issues, dependencies, priorities, and escalations.
  • Strong project governance, reporting, and delivery-planning experience.
  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, resources, and commercial considerations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capability.
  • Experience delivering within Financial Services, regulatory, or another complex regulated environment.
  • Ability to lead delivery across multiple business and technology teams.

  • Agentic AI implementation experience, including associated business change.
  • Experience managing technical delivery/change into HR functions.
  • ERP transformation experience, including Workday or another major ERP platform.
  • Agile/product-based technology delivery experience.
