We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our team. As the Project Manager you will lead the successful delivery of complex engineering projects across a diverse range of industries.

In this pivotal role, you'll take ownership of projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with Project Engineers and key stakeholders, you'll coordinate resources, drive project performance, and build strong, lasting relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and delivering projects from planning and mobilisation through to successful completion.
  • Defining project scope, objectives, delivery schedules, and resource requirements to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Developing, managing, and monitoring project plans, programmes, and budgets to achieve key performance targets.
  • Collaborating closely with Project Engineers and technical teams to ensure all project requirements are delivered to specification.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proactively identifying and managing project risks, issues, and changes, implementing effective solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Monitoring project performance, profitability, and key milestones, providing clear reporting to stakeholders.
  • Overseeing procurement activities and ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and contractual requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation, records, and progress reports.
  • Supporting business growth by delivering exceptional customer service and identifying opportunities to strengthen client partnerships.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing project team members to foster a high-performing and collaborative working environment.
  • Championing Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) standards across all project activities.
  • Ensuring all personnel operate in accordance with company policies, procedures, and safe systems of work.
  • Organising site surveys and gathering key information to support project planning, costing, and quotations.
  • Conducting project reviews, capturing lessons learned, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitoring customer satisfaction and contributing to service excellence across all projects.
  • Reporting on project performance and contributing to the achievement of business objectives and KPIs.
  • Committing to ongoing professional development and completing all required training activities.

Skills, Experiences & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing engineering, construction, utilities, or infrastructure projects from inception through to successful completion.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to motivate, coordinate, and develop high-performing project teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Commercial awareness, including experience managing project budgets, costs, and overall financial performance.
  • A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using project management software and digital project delivery tools.
  • A strong commitment to health, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships, delivering exceptional service throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications & Technical Knowledge

  • Electrical Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent industry experience).
  • Project Management qualification or demonstrable project delivery experience.
  • IOSH Managing Safely, SMSTS, or equivalent health and safety accreditation.
  • Sound knowledge of CDM Regulations and industry best practice.
  • Valid CCNSG and/or ECS Card.
  • First Aid qualification (desirable).
  • Knowledge of HV and LV electrical installations.
  • Understanding of power systems, testing, commissioning, and electrical project delivery.
