An award-winning engineering and construction business is strengthening its delivery capability across a major regional water framework and is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a growing programme of work in Lincoln and the surrounding area.
Operating across both clean water and wastewater schemes, the organisation has secured a substantial portfolio of projects and requires skilled project leaders to help deliver essential infrastructure improvements. This role offers the opportunity to become part of a long-term framework with a consistent pipeline of projects and future workload visibility.
Your new role
Reporting into the regional operations team, you will lead the delivery of infrastructure projects throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with programme and commercial objectives.
You will act as the key point of coordination between operational, commercial, design and client teams, driving successful project outcomes while maintaining high standards of performance and compliance.
Responsibilities will include:
- Taking full ownership of project delivery from early planning through to final completion
- Leading construction teams to achieve programme, quality and safety objectives
- Managing subcontractor performance and supply chain engagement
- Monitoring project budgets, cost forecasts and resource requirements
- Coordinating stakeholders, designers and client representatives throughout delivery
- Reviewing project risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Ensuring all activities comply with company procedures and industry regulations
- Producing progress reports and presenting updates to senior management
- Managing change control processes and supporting contractual administration
- Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and project outcomes
- Supporting the successful handover and commissioning of completed works

What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience managing civil engineering, utilities or water infrastructure projects
- Track record of delivering projects for a principal or tier-one contractor
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project controls
- Experience leading operational teams on live construction projects
- SMSTS qualification
- CSCS card
- Working knowledge of NEC forms of contract
- Ability to manage programmes, budgets and project risks effectively
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence

Desirable experience
- Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a similar discipline
- Experience working within AMP or regulated utility frameworks
- Temporary Works training or awareness
- Additional supervisory, project management or technical qualifications
