Edge Hill University is embarking on an exciting period of estate investment and transformation. To support the delivery of a diverse programme of refurbishment, infrastructure, lifecycle and capital projects, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to join our Facilities Management team.

The University's award-winning campus is a large and complex environment, supporting thousands of students, staff and visitors every day. Working across academic, residential, commercial and operational facilities, you will play a key role in ensuring investment projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the University's strategic objectives.

Reporting to the Head of Projects & Programme Delivery, you will:

  • Manage projects throughout their full lifecycle, from feasibility and stakeholder briefing through to procurement, construction, handover and post-project review.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, consultants and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality and customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to long-term maintenance and investment programmes, supporting backlog maintenance reduction, infrastructure resilience and estate improvement initiatives.
  • Operate within established governance frameworks, managing project risks, budgets and reporting requirements while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and CDM regulations.

Requirements:

  • Experienced project professional with a strong background in construction, refurbishment, maintenance or infrastructure projects within a complex operational environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, experience managing consultants and contractors, and a sound understanding of project governance, risk management and construction health and safety requirements.
