We are looking for experienced Migration Project Managers to support a major banking transformation and migration programme for one of the UK's leading building societies.
The programme requires strong Project Managers with experience delivering complex migration and transformation initiatives within banking or financial services, with a particular emphasis on mortgages and retail banking products.
You will take ownership of delivery across business and technology teams, managing plans, dependencies, governance, risks and stakeholders while supporting the programme through testing, operational readiness, migration, implementation and transition into BAU.
This is a highly business-facing position requiring excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders across a complex delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex banking migration and transformation workstreams.
- Manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, budgets, risks, issues and delivery governance.
- Coordinate activity across business, technology, operations, testing and change teams.
- Support migration planning, implementation, cutover and post-migration activity.
- Drive operational readiness, ensuring impacted teams and processes are prepared for implementation.
- Manage RAID logs, project reporting, governance forums and senior stakeholder updates.
- Work closely with testing and technology teams across UAT, data validation, implementation and go-live.
- Coordinate service transition and handover into BAU following successful delivery.
- Identify delivery risks and dependencies early and drive actions through to resolution.
- Manage competing priorities across multiple internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Support wider business-change activity associated with new processes, systems and ways of working.
- Build strong relationships with senior business stakeholders and provide clear, concise communication on programme progress.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
