Project Officer: Renters Rights Act

Location: Waltham Forest

Hours: Part-Time: 22 Hours per Week

Pay Rate: GBP 26.04 per Hour (PAYE)

Are you an experienced housing professional with a strong understanding of housing legislation and project delivery? We are seeking a proactive and organised Project Officer to support the implementation of the Renters Rights Act within a busy local authority housing service.

  • Provide specialist advice and recommendations based on research, analysis, and evaluation of information.
  • Manage complex and escalated customer enquiries and issues.
  • Support the development and delivery of service plans to meet strategic objectives.
  • Research legislative and policy developments and translate findings into reports, recommendations, and actions.
  • Assist with projects and programmes to ensure compliance with the Renters Rights Act.
  • Maintain accurate project records, monitoring information, and data management systems.
  • Build effective working relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders.

About You

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Renters Rights Act and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
  • Experience managing projects within a large organisation, delivering work to agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Experience working with a variety of internal and external partners.
  • Experience engaging with residents from diverse communities.
  • Strong report writing, communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
  • Good IT, presentation, literacy, and numeracy skills.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
