Senior Engagement Officer
Salary: £29,930.91 for 0.8 FTE (full-time equivalent £37,413.64), plus 8% non-contributory pension
Location: London
Working Arrangement: Hybrid, with regular office and in-person meetings
Contract: Fixed-term for approximately 11–12 months, expected to conclude around 30 September 2027
Hours: 0.8 FTE, ideally four days per week; flexibility may be considered

Overview
Our client, a UK charity focused on responsible investment, is seeking a Senior Engagement Officer to support two UK-based asset-owner networks for charities and universities. You will help shape and deliver annual programmes of events, research, advocacy and member engagement.
The role combines stakeholder engagement with project management, communications, operations and monitoring, evaluation and learning. You will organise member events, support research projects, build relationships with existing and prospective members and help demonstrate the networks’ impact.
Responsibilities
- Help develop and deliver annual workplans for two member networks.
- Organise online, hybrid and in-person member meetings, workshops and webinars.
- Design and deliver network projects, including research in collaboration with research colleagues.
- Support engagement with prospective members and the onboarding and ongoing engagement of existing members.
- Monitor responsible investment developments relevant to the charity and university sectors.
- Maintain member communications, resources and updates, including newsletters, blogs and other written content.
- Attend relevant industry events to promote the networks and engage potential members.
- Implement and maintain a monitoring, evaluation and learning strategy, including data collection and impact reporting.
- Track workplan delivery, maintain project and CRM records, monitor member invoice payments and support secretariat meetings, planning and process improvements.

Requirements
- Strong interest in responsible investment and the impact of the financial system on people and the environment.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, changing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrable project management skills.
- Proven experience organising online, hybrid and/or in-person events.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and formats.
- Proficiency with common workplace software, including Microsoft Office.
Desirable
- Experience working with networks, coalitions or communities of practice.
- Experience or understanding of the charity and/or university sector.
- Experience or understanding of environmental and/or social justice campaigning.
- Understanding of the financial system and current responsible investment debates.
- Familiarity with budgeting.
- Research experience, or willingness to develop research skills.
- Experience using project management, community management and/or database management software.
