Fixed-Term Role in Adult Social Care Improvement Programme
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Adult Social Care at City of York Council in a fixed-term role supporting delivery of the two-year Adult Social Care Improvement Programme.
About the Programme
The programme is a significant improvement and transformation programme designed to support better outcomes for residents, improve service performance, strengthen operational practice and contribute to the long-term sustainability of Adult Social Care services. It brings together a wide range of improvement activity across service redesign, process improvement, workforce transformation, performance improvement, commissioning, digital and data-enabled change, and operating model development.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Project Officer / Business Analyst to work across the programme with programme leads, operational and commissioning managers, public sector colleagues and partner organisations. This is an exciting and varied role where you will help coordinate and deliver change across Adult Social Care, supporting projects that have a direct impact on residents, carers, staff and partner organisations.

You will help ensure that projects and products are delivered within agreed governance arrangements and that improvement activity is well planned, evidence-led and aligned to programme priorities.
Required Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone with strong organisational, analytical and communication skills, and experience of supporting projects, improvement activity or business analysis work. Knowledge of Adult Social Care, local government or public sector transformation would be an advantage, but the ability to work collaboratively, manage competing priorities and turn complex information into clear plans and products will be equally important.
