Elmbridge Borough Council is transforming how we support residents through our Connected Communities approach.
We’re looking for a Project Officer to help deliver the Voluntary Sector Support programme, including the Community Connectors programme.
This is a varied role where you’ll work closely with colleagues and partners, with the opportunity to contribute to projects that make a real difference to local communities.
In this role, you will:
- lead on the development of Elmbridge’s Community Connector Programme
- work across the council and with partners to ensure workstreams to deliver centralised resources that support the Voluntary Sector
- undertake research and evaluation of internal work and external examples of good practice
- prepare updates for our key stakeholders, elected members and colleagues

About you
We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and able to work with a wide range of people.
You will have:
- fluency in spoken and written English, with proficiency in MS Office applications
- experience in influencing and supporting positive change at individual, community and organisational levels
- project administration experience and the ability to carry out research and analysis
- experience of office systems, including organising resources and maintaining administrative processes
- excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
- understanding of data protection
- strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
